Cheetah belongs to cat family. It is the worlds fastest land mammal and can run up to 110 km per hour for a short time. They are able to take a sudden turn when it is running in a high speed. Cheetah has yellow or tan fur with solid black round or oval spots. Mostly people confuse with Cheetah and Leopard. Cheetah has spots and Leopard have Rosettes. The group of Cheetah are called as Coalition.

The spots cover nearly the whole body. Only the white throat and abdomen or not spotted. Its head is small with eyes set high and a black tear mark runs from eyes to mouth. They ate carnivores and hunt and eat mostly gazelles, rabbits, other small mammals and birds. Cheetahs are active during the day and hunt in the early morning or late evening. Cheetahs need water to drink three to four days according to the food it take. Mother cheetahs live with their cubs for One and a half to two years and later the adult searches for its prey.

The King Cheetah is distinctive variety in the cheetah species. This variety was completely accepted because it is said that its across between leopard and Hyena. Later it was said that it could be cross between leopard and cheetah. Moreover this variety with rare mutation had a distinctive pattern in the back having three long wide stripes extending from neck to tail.

Historically Cheetah has been seen across Asia, Africa and Europe. In some sculptures and in paintings the images of this cat family is seen and it depicts that cheetahs was a part and it was a pride in the kingdom.
